Festival of Ice- SPECIAL EVENTS

THURSDAY

  • PARADE: Beginning at 7 PM down State Street- Help us welcome the ice sculptures to town as "Ice Under the Big Top", live ice carving, juggling, clowns, local performers, and much much more!!!
  • Post Parade Party "Family Fun Faire" 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the Clarks Summit Borough building, 304 S State St. Featuring......."Emcee and DJ Frankie Carll" & Introduction of Festival of Ice Ringmasters and live entertainment! Children's Activities include: Complimentary Face Painting, Storytelling with Chris Arcangelo, Animal Crafts & more! Beverages & refreshments will also be available for sale.

  • Abington Community Library: Movie premier- THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH starting promptly at 6 p.m. Volunteer Michael Tammaro will be on hand to show this classic on the big screen, and to help serve popcorn, of course! All ages invited. Stop by and fill out a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a one of a variety of bundles of books, for all ages; you may also purchases chances on our 50th Anniversary Celebration basket raffles. Visit our display of circus related books and other materials. And, see hand-carved wooden circus animals, compliments of patron Gene Moyer!

  • Everything Natural:12:30-2:30 / Live Violin and Harp Music:Performed by Mark and Deirdre
  • First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit: 11:15AM Special Mardi Gras Jazz service; The music will be from New Orleans, and will feature the Presbybop Quartet with special guest trumpeter Corky Klinko. All people are welcome to attend, regardless of their religious background. Since the jazz worship service will take place on Valentine's Day, it will also feature a sermon called, "Not Just Another Love Song," based on the well-known scripture text of 1 Corinthians 13. An open rehearsal will also be held in the sanctuary that day at 10:15 a.m., and all are welcome to meet the musicians at that time.
